1
Our in-house design engineering service allows us to assist our clients with new and existing project designs. We set ourselves apart by being able to offer a total, engineered solution that allows us to not just identify issues, but also present solutions from the outset.
2
We offer a comprehensive, simulation, 3D modeling and rapid prototyping / 3D modeling to enable a more complete prototype to be produced. This prototype being much closer to a functioning production model.
3
By ensuring our projects are value engineered from the start with the correct engineering and technical support, we ensure a smooth transition and high yield from prototype build to full production.

We welcome the opportunity to work with clients at the development stage of their printed circuit board as this point is vital to ensure a smooth transition and high yield from prototype build to full production. Engineering support is provided (if requested) to share their experience in evaluating and assisting in the manufacturability of the PCB or product.

We pride ourselves on investing our time to get it right.

1
UK Circuits has an established, global procurement network of trusted partnerships. With vast experience of the supply chain and its challenges over the last 20 years, our experienced buyer’s pride themselves on navigating our extensive supply chain.
2
We offer a number of supply chain options: Full procurement service – utilising our global, well established, reputable distributors and supply partners including our offshore partnerships. Once these arrive at UK Circuits, we ensure your parts are accurately accounted for, counted and stored.
3
As part of our procurement services, we handle all materials and stock, providing unique part numbers to the stock items ensuring full traceability throughout the manufacturing process. In conjunction with our Technical support services, this ensures our client’s project’s are delivered to the highest quality and to their expectation.

UK Circuits offers a number of procurement options to suit your requirements including full turnkey or assembly from free issue components. With access to a vast pool of suppliers and providers, UK Circuits has over 20 years expertise procuring parts for our clients. Our dedicated procurement team of experienced buyers utilise their expertise to ensure pricing targets are met and long term supply is sourced.

1
We have six Yamaha (iPulse) SMT assembly machines – 3 x M20, 1 x M6e, 1x M1 and 1 x FV7100 each capable of different head configurations to suit capacity and technology demands, providing high feeder capacity and a wide component range.
2
UK Circuits has its own in-house coating service and can coat circuit boards in basic acrylics or any non-silicon coating as specified by the customer. Specialist coatings (Silicon, Paralyne) can be outsourced as requested. In order to ensure maximum protection of circuit boards, humidity and moisture testing can be undertaken.
3
We have five automated (independent) production lines, With a large board capacity up to 1200mm and each machine has a placement speed of up to 22,000 components per hour or 0.16 sec / component.
4
We provide a rapid prototyping service. This ensures the product can be validated prior to final production. The quicker a design can move from concept to product stage, the more likelihood final production will be a complete success.

Known as being more efficient for complex PCB assembly processes, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) consists of a totally automatic mounting process. It is suited to PCB assemblies featuring sensitive and/or extremely small components, such as integrated circuits, and resistors or diodes.

At UK Circuits we provide all aspects of SMT and deliver to the highest standard.

1
UK Circuits team of highly skilled operators are trained to IPC-A-610 Rev F, providing a fully equipped conventional PCB assembly facility.
2
Our technicians use an array of tools and equipment to solder by hand or automatically. With a dedicated Blundell cropmatic cropping system and a Sun East lead free wave soldering system, we can provide automated through hole assembly from a sample or detailed drawings.
3
UK Circuits recognises that in order to get the best optimal solder joint, the solder reflow technology is vital in producing high yields and tight process control. The choice of reflow oven is Heller 1707 Mk3.
4
The 1707 heater modules respond to less than one second to temperature changes which can be less than 0.1ºC, thereby maintaining profile integrity for heavy board loads. A wide process window for “universal profiling” – allows many different boards to be run on a single temperature profile.

Regarded as the simplest PCB assembly method, Conventional Assembly or Through-Hole Technology (THT) utilises a combination of manual and automatic procedures. It works well on components with leads or wires that need to be mounted on the board by passing them through holes on the board and then soldering them to the underside of the PCB.

Our team of operators at UK Circuits holds a comprehensive understanding of lead free solder.

1
Full turnkey production is the next logical step for many of our clients, UK Circuits provides a one stop shop for all box build and enclosure assembly.
2
Using the previously assembled and tested board, UK Circuits can build this into an enclosure and wire up the external interfaces to the assembly.
3
UK Circuits can provide advice on plastic enclosures, whether they be off the shelf or custom designed. Metal enclosures ranging from simple rack mounted assemblies to machine from solid, fabricated or cast metal housings can also be sourced as required.

Full turnkey production is the next logical step for many of our clients. UK Circuits provides a one stop shop for all box build and enclosure assembly.

1
We have invested significantly in both manual and automated test equipment to ensure quality compliance and future reliability. Onsite we have three Optical inspection systems 2 x iScan AOI Version 4.0.
2
This Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) checks for Skewed, incorrect polarity, missing components, tombstone, incorrect component, solder bridging, misplaced components, and bent leads. This ensures quality compliance and providing future reliability in the field, thus ensuring better production efficiency and ensuring the highest possible outgoing quality.
3
The iScan AOI system is used as both as a post-reflow final inspection tool to verify quality before shipment and pre-solder reflow (or wave soldering). The iScan AOI is also used for first offs and solder paste pre placement inspection.
4
The equipment scans all SMT and PTH parts down to 01005, part presence/absence verification, part polarity and pin #1 orientation, part position and skew errors, laser marking, wrong part and device differences such as labels and colour variations.

Ensuring your products leave UK Circuits to the highest quality standard is a priority to us, with every circuit board tested and inspected as requested by the customer prior to delivery.

This ensures quality compliance and providing future reliability in the field, thus ensuring better production efficiency and ensuring the highest possible outgoing quality.
